If you’ve found your way here, to this tender, hopeful corner of the internet, welcome. Truly.

Take a breath.

Take a moment.

I’m glad you’re here.

This is the very first blog post on Rippling Change, and it feels a little like opening the front door to a brand new home and saying, “Come in… I’m still unpacking, but make yourself comfortable.”

I’ve wanted to start this for a long time… but life has had a way of saying,

“Not yet. You’re not quite ready.”

Well, here we are. Ready enough.

So let me tell you a bit about who I am, how this space came to life, and what you can expect from the journey ahead.

A Little About Me (The Real Story Beneath the Titles)

I’m Candice, a former superyacht chief stewardess turned life coach, perpetual student of self awareness, lover of deep chats, warm hearts, and tiny habits that change everything.

Well… that’s the latest version of me.

The truth is, I’ve always been the student with the big heart, the one trying to bring peace, gentleness, and a little light to every room I entered. But the life coach in me wasn’t born through any perfect plan. She was shaped through lived experience, through detours, heartbreaks, reinventions, wrong turns, and a resilience I didn’t always recognize in myself.

I’ve never stopped trying to figure life out.

And honestly? Every un-lived day gives us a new chance to learn something if we’re willing to look.

I was raised by a single mother who, against every odd, shone her light so brightly that it illuminated the path ahead of me. She taught me to trust my intuition, to believe in quiet divine guidance, and to keep kindness, honesty, and hard work at the centre of everything. That was the beginning of my holistic journey long before I ever had the language for it.

The Adventures That Shaped Me

After a big out of country move during high school, I found myself longing for home. When I finally returned, I fell head over heels for South Africa again, its texture, its spirit, its wild beauty.

I naturally gravitated toward adventure tourism, wanting to experience every inch of this planet and help others feel its magic too.

But as life tends to do with me… once I feel stagnant or suppressed in my growth, I crave more.

I wanted more.

More depth, more expansion, more immersion.

So, after a heartbreaking breakup, I sold my car, packed my bags, and walked straight into the glittering, demanding world of super yachting.

My first boat taught me what it means to feel lonely in a crowd - surrounded yet unseen.

Heart aching, I wandered foreign streets, explored new cultures, met incredible humans, got captivated by the wonders of the sea and slowly started reconnecting with myself.

My second boat gifted me some of the best friends I still have today… and also the kind of pressure that breaks you open. The long hours, the relentless standards - they pushed me to my limits and I knew my soul needed more real world experiences again.

So I pressed pause.I retreated to Thailand for a year to reground myself.

I taught English as a foreign language, guided yoga, integrated into a tiny town, and explored every off the beaten path wonder Southeast Asia had to offer. Then India called me deeper into myself through yoga teacher training.

My heart expanded… and then the golden handcuffs of yachting drew me back once more.

This time, I returned with intention, determined to grow, to face the challenges, to rise.

And I did.

But I also hit breaking point after breaking point:

Tough co-workers, body breaking hours, emotional overwhelm, unhealthy coping, silence where I needed support.

I searched for help but always felt misunderstood, like no one truly grasped the mental and emotional weight I was carrying.

Until I realized something life changing:

If I couldn’t find the support I needed… maybe I was meant to become it.

From Breaking Point to Breakthrough.

So I did.

I became the voice I needed.

The safe space I wanted.

The kind, understanding presence I longed for.

Rippling Change was born from that decision. Not in a burst of confidence, but in a quiet, trembling commitment to stay aligned with my inner light and follow the path I felt called to walk.

One brave, shaky step at a time, I began bringing that light into the lives of others.

Because sometimes all a person needs is:

someone who listens

someone who understands

someone who has walked through the fire

someone who still chooses compassion

We need more kindness in this world.

And kindness ripples.

It softens.

It spreads.

It touches everyone we pass.

It shapes how we move as humans on this ever evolving planet.

If there’s one legacy I hope to leave behind, it’s this:

A legacy of light.

For years I lived in fast, high pressure environments where overwhelm, self doubt, burnout, and emotional rollercoasters were normalized.

And somewhere between ocean crossings, service shifts, and the quiet moments I stole for myself, I realized:

We are all carrying so much more than we say.

And most of us don’t know how to put any of it down.

The name Rippling Change came to me in a dream as a calling, not from a perfect plan, but from a gentle whisper,

“There has to be a kinder way to live.”

A way where we honour our nervous systems.

Where we rebuild confidence after heartbreak or burnout.

Where we let ourselves evolve without shame.

Where growth feels spacious, not heavy.

Where we take small steps that create big ripples.

This blog is a space for all the messy, magical, beautifully human parts of life.

You’ll find:

  • Gentle Mindset shifts that help you move through sticky seasons

  • Tools to unmess your mind and regulate your emotions, and find clarity

  • Reflections on boundaries, relationships, and self worth

  • Rituals, habits, and practices that actually fit real life

  • Deeper explorations of growth, resilience, and healing

  • Stories from my own journey - the ones with bruises and breakthroughs

  • A soft place to land when life feels overwhelming

This isn’t a space for perfection. I’m not here to preach perfection.

This isn’t a space for “fixing yourself.”

It’s a space for permission.

For inner truth.

For curiosity, compassion, and coming home to yourself.

It’s a space for getting curious, becoming kinder to your inner world, and slowly turning toward the life you’ve been craving - one small ripple at a time.

A Quick Note On Growth (Because We All Need The Reminder)

You don’t need to transform your whole life in one big dramatic leap.

That’s not how real change works.

Growth happens quietly:

* in the small decisions you make

* in the boundaries you keep

* in the habits you personalize

* in the conversations you finally have

* in the compassion you soften into

* in the days you try again

Tiny ripples, that’s all it takes.

What’s Coming Next

Now that the door is open, I can’t wait to share more of what I’ve learned along the way.

Next up:

“Unmess Your Mind”  A 10 minute process to declutter your thoughts and find instant clarity.

But today, we begin with connection.

Thank you for being here. Whether by fate, by curiosity, or by a late night scroll when your soul needed something soft to land on.

Here’s to growth.

Here’s to courage.

Here’s to choosing light, even when life feels heavy.

And here’s to every ripple still to come.

With warmth and gratitude,

Candice
